I guess my friend's house caught fire earlier tonight. It sounds like his family's Lexus LX470 (100 series) caught fire in the garage. The fire department just left about an hour ago so not much is known right now but apparently a fair portion of the house is torched and the rest smoke-damaged. It was fucking terrifying because I was talking to him on xbox when it happened and when he got out of the house he didn't grab his phone so I couldn't contact him until recently. I don't really expect anyone here to care. I'm usually not one to make personal posts like this but I just needed a place to vent. Fuck it's gonna be hard to sleep tonight.

Damn! That's horrible. Huge fear of mine. Been house shopping the last couple months maybe I should give all the houses I dissed due to the garage not being attached a second look. Hope all ends well and that they are properly insured. Any theory on why the lex torched itself?

Ouch! If he didn't grab his phone I guess he didn't have time to save much of his belongings.
My friends house house burned badly during his vacation. The cause was a malfunction on lighting timer. He had a huge fight with his insurance company because they made really low ball offers for the damages.

Man oh man that's awful. I've been there, but nothing but the clothes in the dryer burned and the rest of the house was full of smoke. But getting the call that the house is on fire when you're a 10 minute drive away is fucking horrifying...hope your buddy gets back on his feet quickly and easily
